A Corner of Paradise...
'What are you doing in Datça if you are in a hurry'
As soon as you step into the streets of Datça, you can understand why poet Can Yücel loves this place so much. Datça has a different atmosphere than other holiday resorts with its nature, sun, air and of course the perfect sea that surrounds it. We can say that the sea season almost never ends in Datça, where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean. Starting from April in Datça and its surroundings, the sea can be warm enough to swim in, and you can see people spending time in the sea until November.
Knidos Ancient City
The ancient city of Knidos, 37 km from the center of Datça, was an important port trade city at the point where the Aegean and the Mediterranean met. In the ancient city, it is possible to see the remains of the Theatre, the Temple and Altar of Apollo, the Sundial, Agora and Odeon. The sundial is particularly interesting. Keep in mind that the sunset is quite beautiful here.
Knidos Deveboynu Deniz Feneri
Palamutbuku Aquarium Beach
Aquarium Beach is also known as Gerence Bay among the people. The distance between Palamutbuku and Aquarium Bay is approximately 1 km. You can even walk here from Palamutbükü. Aquarium Beach has a stony beach and is quite small in area. The sea is clear in turquoise color.
Taslik Beach
The sea is fabulously beautiful and clean. As the name suggests, the beach is stony and doesn't get deep right away. Towards the end of the beach, there is an artificial lake (Ilıca Pond) consisting of underground thermal waters. Here, this water is believed to be healing. There is also a small waterfall connecting the lake and the sea.
Karaincir Beach
Karaincir Beach, which is 19 kilometers away from the center of Datça, is frequently preferred by families with children and novice swimmers as it has a very shallow sea.
This beach, which has a sandy beach, is closed to the north winds, so the sea is smooth and the sea water is warm.
